I have run and operated my own home-based business for well over 15 years. Initially, I worked outside the home and ran my business in my spare time. Eventually, I realized that I could do just as well (even better) if I focused strictly on my business. I just wish I had made the decision earlier. I never felt the degree of freedom or satisfaction, that I get from my own business activities, when I worked for someone else. It seems funny, now, when I think about it. I dreamed about starting my own business but hesitated because I wasn't sure exactly how to go about it. It was amazing how good it felt to finally do it. Then I dreamed about quitting my job and working my business full time. Did I do it? NO! At least not right away. It took me quite a while to work my way up to it. It was, hands down, the best professional decision I ever made.
Today, I distribute a line of gourmet scented products. The number one product in our line is a triple scented candle that is made from a proprietary blend of natural plant and vegetable waxes. (They don't quite "sell themselves" but they come closer than anything I have ever been associated with. The customer loyalty is amazing!).
